June 19, Fineko/abc.az. At its annual meeting in Baku, the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB) signed 67 agreements for totally $6 billion with 10 member countries, several regional institutions and private sector companies.
ABC.AZ informs that IsDB chairman Mohammed Al-Jasser made this statement at the final press conference of the 51st annual meeting of the IsDB Group.
"These agreements target critical sectors and confirm our unwavering commitment to deliver highly effective development solutions as a single cohesive IsDB group," he said.
According to Al-Jasser, in addition, the IsDB approved the allocation of $2.8 billion in new funding for nine transformational projects.
"These projects will improve connectivity, energy security, food systems, climate resilience, and the achievement of multiple Sustainable Development Goals in the nine member countries," Al-Jasser added.
