Kazakhstan and Germany Expand Energy Cooperation and Green Hydrogen Initiatives

June 16, Fineko/abc.az. Kazakhstan and Germany have reaffirmed their mutual interest in deepening strategic energy cooperation, focusing on increasing Kazakh crude oil supplies to Germany and reinforcing bilateral energy security.

According to ABC.AZ, the two nations discussed upgrading infrastructure, expanding equipment supplies, improving energy efficiency, and implementing advanced environmental technologies. Specialized attention was also directed toward the coal sector and its modernization prospects.

A pivotal track of the discussions centered on the development of green hydrogen production projects, where Kazakhstan is increasingly positioned as a potential large-scale supplier to Europe, driven by its abundant natural resources.
