May 15, Fineko/abc.az. Rosatom has delivered the four massive hydraulic tanks (accumulators) for the Emergency Core Cooling System (ECCS) of Power Unit 3 at the Akkuyu NPP in Mersin, Turkey.

ABC.AZ reports that these vital safety components were manufactured at the Izhora plant in St. Petersburg, arriving at the site's Eastern Cargo Terminal to complete the primary equipment delivery for the reactor building and are designed to automatically cool the reactor in case of emergency situations. The system provides a boric solution that effectively reduces the temperature and suppresses the fission reaction.

The total weight of the delivery exceeds 300 tons.
