April 22, Fineko/abc.az. The Accounts Chamber of Azerbaijan has revealed serious violations inState Customs Committee’s financial accounting and payments.
ABC.AZ reports that full accounting of administrative fines was not provided, and in some cases, the accrual and payment of customs duties to the budget were not carried out.
Also, 602,300 manats of unemployment insurance contributions were not withheld and transferred to the State Budget.
The inspection showed that customs procedures had not been completed for some of the goods, which is why the corresponding payments were not accrued.
In addition, the construction of a new administrative building in the amount of 17.9 million manats was not fully reflected in the financial statements, and in some contracts the cost of work was overestimated.
Problems in accounting were identified: data was not fully entered into the system, the inventory of assets was not carried out in a timely manner, and the movement of funds in individual accounts was not reflected in the documentation. Also, 746,900 manats of future expenses were incorrectly accounted for.
As a result of the audit, 966,100 manats were recovered to the State Budget, 828,200 manats were restored in kind, and approx. 3.2 million manats were included in financial accounting.
