April 22, Fineko/abc.az. The Accounts Chamber of Azerbaijan has revealed an overspending of almost 11 million manats in Ganja, ABC.AZ reports, referring to ACA’s bulletin ‘State Audit’.
According to the bulleting, the audit covered major road repairs, landscaping, construction of the Ganja Sports Palace, as well as the construction of a residential building with 249 apartments for residents to be relocated from dormitories and residential buildings in disrepair, for totally 192 million manats. The audit covered the period from January 1, 2023 to July 1, 2025.
As a result of an audit of a residential building under construction "in the north-west of the intersection of Nizami Avenue and Ganja Khimikov Street", it was found that the inclusion of excessive work volumes in the estimate documentation, price table of the contract and acceptance certificates of completed works led to an increase in the cost of the contract by 79,371 manats and the payment of excess funds to the contractor. It was also found that for the same facility, the volume and cost of work were overestimated by a total of 1,279,485 manats.
