Export of petroleum products from Azerbaijan grew 1.5-fold

April 16, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Mar 2026, Azerbaijan exported 187,341.29 tons of petroleum products, according to customs declarations.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that the cost of this volume reached $130.938 million.

Compared with Jan-Mar 2025, exports of petroleum products grew 1.5-fold in volume and 2.3-fold in value. Their share in Azerbaijan's overall exports for the first 3 months made up 2.42%.

For Jan-Mar 2026, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover totaled $9.407 billion (21.9% less than last year), including exports for $5.402 billion (a drop of 15.4%) and imports for $4.5 billion (decline by 29.3%).

Eventually, foreign trade surplus reached $1.398 billion (93.4% more than a year earlier).
