April 7, Fineko/abc.az. A working group on subsurface users will be established in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that  this is reflected in the Rules for improving the activities of subsurface users engaged in the exploitation of non-metallic mineral deposits approved today by President Ilham Aliyev.

In order to bring the activities of subsurface users provided for by the Rules in full compliance with the requirements of regulatory legal acts regulating relations in the field of subsurface use, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources will establish a working group with the participation of at least one representative from the MENR, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Labor & Social Protection of Population, State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan, The State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture (for the Liberated Territories), Azerishig OJSC and the relevant local executive authorities.

The activities of the working group are led by a chairman appointed by the Ministry, who organizes its work.

The working group carries out its activities on the basis of the work plan approved at its meeting, taking into account the rights and obligations defined by these Rules.
