ABC.AZ reports, quoting Valekh Aleskerov, the chairman of board of AFEZ authorized body, that this means that the investor will not have to wait for years to create the appropriate infrastructure.

It is for this reason that the provision of ready-to-use industrial land plots in the Alat FEZ is a very important point for investors - the territory is already provided in advance with water, natural gas, sewerage, communications, electricity and other infrastructure.

"This is a very big advantage, there are no such conditions in other zones. Another factor that increases the attractiveness of the Alat FEZ is that companies operating here are exempt from all taxes and customs duties. In addition, we should especially mention the legislation of the Alat FEZ. As you know, the Alat FEZ was created by a special law of Azerbaijan - the Law on the Alat Free Economic Zone. The legislation of the Alat FEZ consists of this law and internal rules approved by the AFEZ authorized body. This is also of great importance for investors. For example, to register the AFEZ, you just need to contact the authorized body. If the authorized body considers the proposed project acceptable, then the company is registered. There is no need to contact any government agency of basic economics.”
