March 18, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has amended the Rules for the Sale & Repurchase of Investmen, Jubilee and Commemorative Banknotes in Circulation, approved by the CBA Board's decision dated August 11, 2020.

ABC.AZ reports that CBA governor Taleh Kazimov signed a relevant decree. According to the changes, if the jubilee or commemorative banknotes purchased online are not received at the time selected in the system at the relevant point of sale, CBA will contact the buyer or his representative and agree on a new time.

If the buyer or his representative does not receive the banknotes in the new time, the order will be cancelled. In this case, the amount paid will be refunded to the buyer's bank account within three business days based on the details specified in the e-appeals system of the e-services portal.

In addition, when repurchasing CBA banknotes, the examination will be conducted in the presence of the person who provided them (or his representative), and their value will be paid on the same day - in cash or by wire transfer, taking into account the requirements of the Law on Non-Cash Payments.
