March 12, Fineko/abc.az. Cases of fraud using social engineering methods and fake messages remain a global problem.
ABC.AZ reports that CBA deputy chair Togrul Aliyev stated this at a forum held in Baku.
He added that the Central Bank has taken a number of important steps in the field of cybersecurity and control mechanisms in order to prevent these threats: "The minimum cybersecurity requirements for financial institutions have been established, and the rules for remote account opening have been upgraded. In addition, in order to combat cyber incidents, the FinServ Center has been established and a system for the operational exchange of information on combating fraud between banks has been formed."
He also noted that the Central Bank has expanded international cooperation and has become a member of platform OECD-INFE (International Network of Financial Education).
