March 2, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan became one of the world's most active gold buyers in 2025. According to the World Gold Council, the country ranked 3rd on purchases of the precious metal.
ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijan bought 53.4 tons of gold during the year, strengthening its position among the leading buying countries.
Poland became the leader of the rating - 102 tons. Kazakhstan occupies 2nd place with 57 tons.
China is also in Top 10 (6th place, 26.7 tons).
Uzbekistan ranked 11th among the Central Asian countries (7.8 tons), and Kyrgyzstan - 12th (7.6 tons).
Thus, Azerbaijan confirmed its status as one of world’s largest buyers of gold by the end of the year.
