Number of people employed in banking sector falls by 154 for January

February 26, Fineko/abc.az. In January 2026, the number of employees in the banking sector totaled 27,235.

In December 2025, the number of employees of the bank was 27,389 people (decline of 154 people in monthly comparison), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank.

As of January 31, 2026, 22 banks numbered 504 branches, 85 sub-branches and 3498 ATMs.
