February 19, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) held 170 note auctions.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the annual Monetary Policy Review of the bank.

According to the document, this is 82.8% more than in 2024.

Of the auctions conducted, 43 ones related to 28-day notes, 42 ones to 84-day notes, 43 ones to 168-day notes and 42 ones to 252-day notes. The balance of notes in circulation during the year varied depending on the state of the banking system, reaching a maximum in August of 744.2 million manats. By the end of the year, the total balance of funds sterilized through the notes amounted to 370.8 million manats.

In addition, last year, placement auctions continued for 28-day (1 month), 84-day (3 months), 168-day (6 months) and 252-day (9 months) notes as an auxiliary instrument for regulating liquidity in the framework of operations on the open market.
