February 9, Fineko/abc.az. India's purchases of Russian oil may fall from 1.2 million barrels in January to 500,000-600,000 barrels by April under pressure from the U.S.

ABC.AZ informs, citing Bloomberg, that Indian refineries have suspended new spot purchases after the terms of a trade deal with the U.S. providing for the abandonment of Russian raw materials. Nayara Energy is likely to continue imports at around 400,000 barrels.

The Indian government has not yet given instructions to the refinery, and energy security remains a priority, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said.
