Germany becomes a minority shareholder of TenneT Germany

February 5, Fineko/abc.az. The German government has acquired a 25.1% stake in the largest German grid energy company, TenneT Germany, for $3.9 billion through state-owned bank KfW. It was not possible to gain control of the company due to lack of funds.

ABC.AZ informs that earlier, TenneT Holding (Netehrelands) sold 46% of the shares of the German division to a consortium of investors for 9.5 billion euros, retaining 28.9% in order to remain involved in key decisions.

The deal will allow Germany to participate in decision-making on the development of the national energy infrastructure.
