February 2, Fineko/abc.az. The indicators of the number of term depositors in the banking sector and the volume of household deposits for 2025 reflect a noticeable increase in annual comparison.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that if at the beginning of the year, in January, the number of term depositors with the use of unique FIN codes in the banking sector was 154,181 people, by the end of the year this figure reached 194,134 people.

Thus, the number of term depositors increased by 39,953 people over the year, showing an increase of nearly 25.9%.

If in January 2025, household deposits in banks amounted to 14.39 billion manats, then in December this figure grew up to 16.32 billion manats.

In annual comparison, the deposit portfolio increased by 1.93 billion manats, or close to 13.4%. Of this amount, 5.14 billion manats were deposits in foreign currency.
