January 29, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, the assets of the NBCO sector increased by 25% up to 1.24 billion manats, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Fuad Isayev, the general director of the Central Bank, at  today’s microfinance forum in Baku.

"There are 54 NBCOs and 34 credit unions. All but one of them represents the private sector. In 2025, the assets of the NBCO sector grew by 25% up to 1.24 billion manats. At the same time, NBCOs’ loan portfolio grew by 29% last year and exceeded 1 billion manats. NBCOs’ capital increased by 26.2% last year and exceeded 3 million manats. In general, NBCOs’ equity accounts for 24.5% of overall assets.

Over the past 3 years, the NBCOs have issued bonds for 86 million manats. It is encouraging that compared with 2023, we are seeing an increase in the volume of bonds issued in 2025 up to 4 times," he stressed.
