December 24, Fineko/abc.az. Starting from December 23, duties on dairy products from the EU in the amount of 21.9% to 42.7% came into force in China, which was a retaliatory measure against restrictions on imports of electric vehicles from China.
ABC.AZ reports that the highest rate will affect FrieslandCampina - 42.7%, and the lowest - Sterilgarda products, 21.9%.
The duties apply to all EU dairy companies, including French and German companies. In 2023, exports of cheese and milk powder from the EU to China totaled €1.8 billion.
Earlier, on December 17, China also imposed duties on pork from the EU for 5-year term (from 4.9% to 19.8%).
