October 24, Fineko/abc.az. The Government of Kazakhstan intends to build a fourth oil refinery capable of processing 10 million tons of oil per year, ABC.AZ informs, quoting Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.

Four possible locations are being selected for the facility, including the territory of Mangystau region.

The initiative stipulates introduction of installations for deep oil conversion, which will allow the production of aviation fuel of TS-1 and Jet A-1 types, Sputnik Kazakhstan writes.

It is planned to prepare a preliminary feasibility study in 2028-2030, and to create design and estimate documentation in 2030-2032. The construction of the plant is planned until 2040.
