October 1, Fineko/abc.az. For Jan-Aug 2025, the total number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling to foreign countries decreased by 2.7% against the 2024 same term to 1,419,200 people.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that 41.9% of Azerbaijani citizens visited Turkey, 14.8% Russia, 11% Georgia, 8.8% Iran, 23.5% other countries. Of them, 63.6% were men and 36.4% were women.

Over Jan-Aug 2025, the number of people traveling to Georgia has increased by 23.7%, to Iran by 1.5%, and to Russia declined by 30%, to Turkey by 4.4%.

70.5% of Azerbaijani citizens traveled by air, 27.5% by rail and road, and 2% by sea.
