Price of gold for the first time in history exceeds mark of $3,900 per ounce

October 1, Fineko/abc.az. For the first time in history, the price of gold exceeded $3,900 per troy ounce: December futures on COMEX reached $3,903.55.

ABC.AZ informs that growth continues against the backdrop of the U.S. government shutdown, weakening dollar and geopolitical uncertainty. Over the current year, the precious metal has gained more than 47%.

According to experts, the forecast remains bullish: the nearest targets are above $3,900 and up to $4,000. Silver also set a record, rising 1% to $47.09, the highest in the last 14 years.
