September 12, Fineko/abc.az. A model named Diella (which means “sun” in Albanian), based on artificial intelligence, will serve as an AI Minister in Albania.

According to ABC.AZ, Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that Diella will participate in government tenders, helping oversee contracts with private companies. This initiative aims to protect public procurement from corruption.

The first prototype of Diella was introduced in January on the e-Albania portal. Earlier, Politico reported that Edi Rama plans to transition the country to a fully cashless payment system by 2030, preventing people from keeping money “under mattresses” or “next to an AK-47,” as the saying goes.
