September 12, Fineko/abc.az. Russia is supplied with “organic” apples by countries such as Azerbaijan, Serbia, Moldova, and others. According to ABC.AZ, this was stated by the General Director of FruitNews Agency and head of the “Berry Academy” project, Irina Koziy.

Currently, the market is mainly filled with Russian apples, as early autumn is the harvest season. At the same time, Koziy noted that the cost of apple production in Russia has significantly increased, which is why producers are also raising prices. Apples from other countries usually enter the market closer to winter and may turn out to be cheaper than domestic ones. Import purchases begin closer to December, and Russia has many suppliers—one of them is Azerbaijan. The country supplies Russia with apples suitable for baby food.

Apples also come to Russia from Iran, China, and Poland—through third countries, she added in a conversation with NSN.
