September 1, Fineko/abc.az – As of the end of July 2025, the number of transactions using UnionPay cards issued by resident financial institutions in Azerbaijan (as well as statistical unit payment cards) totaled 200, with a transaction volume of 0.03 million manats.

ABC.AZ reports, citing the Central Bank, that compared to the previous month, the number of transactions with UnionPay cards remained unchanged, while the transaction volume decreased by 0.01 million manats, or 25%.

Additionally, during the reporting period, UnionPay cards issued by non-resident financial institutions recorded 2,400 transactions with a total volume of 0.4 million manats. Compared to the previous month, the number of transactions increased by 200 units, or 9.1%, while the transaction volume fell by 0.6 million manats, or 60%.
