August 29, Fineko/abc.az. The use of artificial intelligence technologies in the agricultural sector of Azerbaijan is expanding.

According to ABC.AZ, citing the Ministry of Agriculture, the project manager for the introduction of AI in the agricultural sector, Surkhay Novruzov, stated at the event “A New Stage in the Development of Agroparks” that new solutions will enable farmers to more accurately select crops depending on soil and region, assess the risks of plant diseases, and plan sowing more effectively.

After the speeches, discussions were held on the challenges faced in the activities of agroparks, ways to solve them, incentives for large industrial enterprises, and other issues. Representatives of agroparks reported problems with irrigation water supply, land reclamation, energy supply, and environmental issues, stressing the need for state support. Issues related to encouraging processing and the export of competitive products were also discussed. Following the meeting, proposals were recorded, and consultations with relevant government agencies were planned.
