August 27, Fineko/abc.az. IBM and AMD have announced a partnership to develop hybrid systems that combine quantum computing, HPC, and AI.

According to ABC.AZ, the project envisions integrating IBM’s quantum processors with AMD’s server CPUs and GPUs to tackle tasks such as molecular modeling, data analysis, and real-time error correction.

The use of open-source tools, including Qiskit, is expected to accelerate the deployment of hybrid algorithms. IBM’s leadership in quantum technologies and AMD’s expertise in HPC make the companies key players in the infrastructure of the future. Demonstrations of workflows are planned for 2025, with commercialization expected by 2030.
