Nvidia, Workday and Intuit fall in premarket, Zoom rises

August 22, Fineko/abc.az. U.S. stock futures edged higher on Friday ahead of the highly anticipated speech by Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell at the Jackson Hole symposium.

According to ABC.AZ, Nvidia fell 1.1% after reports that the chipmaker asked some component suppliers to suspend production of its H20 artificial intelligence chip intended for China amid tighter controls from Beijing. Meta Platforms rose 0.2% after the tech giant signed a $10 billion contract with Alphabet, which gained 1.1%. Under the deal, the owner of Facebook will use Google Cloud’s servers, storage, and other services over the next six years. Zoom Video Communications rose 5.1% after the company reported strong second-quarter results and raised its full-year revenue forecast, highlighting the ongoing expansion of its enterprise business.
