August 7, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of this year, approx. $817 million was spent on activities at oil & gas field block Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to BP's report on the results of the 1st half of this year that around $259 million was spent on operating costs and $558 million on capital expenditures for ACG activities.
Stable production at ACG continued safely and reliably in the 1st half of 2025. Overall production at ACG in the first 6 months averaged 327,000 b/d, or nearly 59 million barrels in total, or 8 million tons.
In the 2nd quarter, the ACG Project successfully resumed the process of pumping water into formations from Chirag platform after about a 4-year break.
"In addition, in the 2nd quarter, the first gas injection well was safely and according to schedule launched from the ACE platform as part of the ACG project," the report emphasizes.
At the end of June, ACG numbered 143 oil-producing, 46 water-injection and 10 gas-injection wells in operation. In the first half of the year, 3 oil production, 3 water injection and 1 gas injection wells were drilled and developed at ACG.
