July 25, Fineko/abc.az. The number of payment cards in circulation through the systems of banks and Azerpocht LLC increased by 181,000 cards at the end of June compared with the previous month and reached 20.642 million cards.

Compared with the same term of 2024, this figure grew by 14.1%, ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Central Bank.

The number of debit cards in payment cards increased by 17.1%, while the number of credit cards decreased by 6.9%.

The growth of payment cards has had positive impact on non-cash payments. Thus, during the month, the volume of non-cash transactions within the country increased by 38.3% compared with the relevant term of 2024.

In June 2025, the volume of non-cash payments within the country made using cards amounted to 8.438 billion manats. E-commerce accounts for 7.375 million manats of non-cash payments. Of the remaining amount, payments for 1.058 million manats were carrie dout through POS-terminals and ones for 5 million manats through self-service terminals and ATMs.
