China's quarterly GDP growth slows to 5.2%

July 15, Fineko/abc.az. In the 2nd quarter, China's economy grew by 5.2% year-on-year.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the report of the State Statistical Office.

GDP growth rate slowed from 5.4% for Jan-Mar. At the same time, analysts on average expected the recovery to weaken to 5.1%, according to Trading Economics.

The increase in China's GDP for April-June compared to the previous three months was 1.1% (with an average forecast of 0.9%). In the 1st quarter, the indicator grew by 1.2% quarter-on-quarter.

In the first half of the year, the economy grew by 5.3% year-on-year and reached 66.05 trillion yuans ($9.24 trillion).

The disposable income of the Chinese population per capita increased by 5.3% for Jan-Jun, up to 21,840 yuans.

By the end of 2024, the Chinese economy increased by 5%, the same growth is provided for the socio-economic development plan for 2025.
