July 9, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan Mortgage & Credit Guarantee Fund does not recommend citizens to choose apartments in Khrushchev, ABC.AZ informs, quoting AMCGF head Rasim Abdullayev.

He stressed that mortgage loans are given for apartments in buildings constructed after 1970.

"Before giving a loan, an apartment is assessed. This process is carried out in accordance with the Law on Valuation on the basis of acts issued to appraisers by the State Examination Center, notes are made on whether the building in which the property is located is subject to demolition. In conclusion, the property is reviewed by the bank's credit committee, which also takes into account the possibility of demolition. Banks are rejecting apartments in buildings that can be demolished, as loans are given for 25-year term. If there is a possibility of demolition, citizens are advised to find other housing," Abdullayev said.
