June 23, Fineko/abc.az. From the moment of its foundation to the present day, the Credit Bureau has gone through a revolutionary development path.

ABC.AZ informs that Zakir Nuriyev, the president of the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan, made the above-said statement  at the opening ceremony of the 1st International Credit Conference.

He noted that in 2024, the assets of the banking sector amounted to 53 billion manats (80% more than in 2018):

"At the same time, our current loan portfolio grew by 125% compared with the previous seven years and reached 29.3 billion manats. Of course, during this period, the volume of our overdue loans decreased significantly – by 72% compared to 2018 and already amounts to 449 million manats. But despite all this, the growing level of lending and the growing volume of our assets have once again shown us that creation and development of a private credit bureau is a timely and well-made decision."
