May 26, Fineko/abc.az. Wafra Joint Operations has discovered a new oilfield in the neutral zone between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

ABC.AZ informs that Saudi news agency SPA reports about this with reference to the governments of the countries.

The discovery is localized in the Northern Vafra Vara-Burgan square, located 5 km north of Vafra deposit.

"This is the first opening since the resumption of production operations in the neutral zone and the adjacent marine area in mid-2020. The discovery is considered very significant, given its positive impact on the status of both countries as reliable global energy suppliers and on their capabilities in the exploration and production sector," the agency emphasizes.
