May 22, Fineko/abc.az. Uzbekistan has joined the Shusha Declaration of Azerbaijan and Turkey, which presupposes the creation of an alliance, strategic and military-political cooperation, including protection in case of an attack on a member of the union, that is, involving joint defense, political analysts say.

ABC.AZ reports that Nezavisimaya Gazeta writes about this on May 21.

"The signing of the treaty on allied relations and the accession to the Shusha Declaration can be considered the formation of a new alliance," said Sokhbet Mammadov, head of the Irevan analytical center.

Mammadov stressed that Baku in this case proceeds only from its national interests. At the same time, the strengthening of ties with Turkic-speaking countries is noted.
