May 7, Fineko/abc.az. In 2024, losses in the main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan amounted to 47.3 million cu m (20.9% less year-on-year).

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee that in 2023, losses in the country’s gas pipelines amounted to 59.8 million cu m.

40.348 bcm of gas were transported via main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan last year (2.7% more than in the previous year).

56.6% of gas transportation was carried out through South Caucasus pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum. This pipelne exports gas extracted at gas condensate field Shah Deniz. Last year, 22.85 bcm of gas were transported through this pipeline (an increase of 4.3%).
