April 14, Fineko/abc.az. VTB (Russia) is considering the possibility of establishing an artificial intelligence center in China, ABC.AZ informs, referring bank's internal presentation.

The center is supposed to be a physical platform for applied research and rapid testing of AI devices together with Chinese partners, without the need to import equipment to Russia.

Such devices in the presentation include: wearable electronics (smartphones, watches, glasses, rings), smart home devices (cars, TV, refrigerators), industrial digital assistants (machine tools, 3D printing, transport, monitoring and production management systems).

China is considered as the main manufacturing base, but several factors hinder cooperation: the difference in technology stacks between countries, the lack of a well-established legal framework for cooperation, the lack of information about manufactured devices and the adaptation of AI models to the Russian market.

VTB's technology partner in the project is T1 IT Holding, which will formulate application tasks on behalf of the bank and other customers.
