April 7, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR) founded a new company last month after buying a stake in a field in Israel, ABC.AZ reports, referring to SOCAR Tamar LLC.

The company is registered in the head office at 121 Heydar Aliyev Avenue, Narimanov district of Baku (in SOCAR Towers) and has authorized capital of 10,000 manats.

Company’s legal representative is Agamamed Sultanov.
SOCAR has signed an agreement with Union Energy to purchase a 10% stake in the Tamar project, one of Israel's largest gas fields in the Mediterranean basin and of great importance.
