Apple’s income from iPhone sales for Q4 of 2024 declined

January 31, Fineko/abc.az. Apple’s earnings from iPhone sales in October-December 2024 decreased to $69.1 bn from $69.7 bn in 2023. The forecast assumed an increase to $70.7 bn.

ABC.AZ informs that in October-December 2024, Apple increased income more than expected and exceeded market expectations in terms of net profit.

The net income for the first fiscal quarter ended December 31 was $36.33 bn, or $2.40 per share, compared with $33.9 bn, or $2.18 per share, received for the comparable quarter of the previous year.

Company's shares rose 3% in additional trading on Thursday, as growth in service revenue offset, in the eyes of investors, an unexpected decline in sales in China and a drop in revenue from smartphone shipments. Over the past 12 months, the capitalization of Apple, the most expensive company in the world, has grown by 27% to $3.57 trillion.

Revenue increased by 4% to a record of $124.3 bn.
