January 30, Fineko/abc.az. The number of payment cards in circulation through the systems of banks and Azerpocht LLC grew by 436,000 cards at the end of December compared with the previous month and reached 19.899 million cards.

ABC.AZ informs that compared with December 2023, this figure grew by 17.6%.

The growth of payment cards was 19.9% on debit cards and 1.8% on credit cards.

The growth of payment cards has had positive impact on the volume of non-cash payments. Thus, during the month, the volume of non-cash transactions within the country increased 1.5-fold versus December 2023.
