December 27, Fineko/abc.az. The difference between loans given to the population by commercial banks in Azerbaijan and interests on attracted deposits (interest margin) decreased slightly for Jan-Nov 2024.

ABC.AZ informs that as of early December 2024, the difference between loans and deposits of the population was 6.79 p.p. This figure was 6.86% in the previous month, and 7.21 p.p. last year.

According to the latest data for November, the average interest rate on loans to individuals was 16.09%, and on term deposits — 9.30%.

This margin in foreign currency dropped from 1.8 p.p. to 1.47 p.p. For Jan-Nov 2023, this figure was 2.72%.
