December 17, Fineko/abc.az. Currently, the number of cryptocurrency users in Azerbaijan is 120,000 people.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting CBA department head Khaleddin Tagiyev, as saying this at a training to raise awareness about financial technologies.

As for virtual assets in Azerbaijan, he said that in 2023 they reached $4.4 billion.

"This includes cryptocurrency transactions," Tagiev said.

According to this indicator, Azerbaijan ranks 10th among the countries of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Turkey tops the list with $130 billion.
