December 16, Fineko/abc.az. Iran's currency continues to update its historical low after the overthrow of the head of the Syrian regime Bashar al-Assad.
ABC.AZ reports that the Iranian rial has lost more than 20% in price in recent weeks, coming under pressure amid tensions in the region.
The US dollar exceeded the threshold of 750,000 rials on December 14 on the Tehran black market and in telegram channels determining the exchange rate, and the euro exceeded the threshold of 780,000 rials.
On Saturday, during the first working week in Iran, $1 cost 750,000 rials (75,000 tumans), which is a historical record on the black market.

Currency traders are concerned about further loss of value, and some analysts warn that the dollar could reach 1,000,000 rials if regional instability persists.
Before the establishment of the Islamic government in 1979, the US dollar was worth only 70 rials.
