November 27, Fineko/abc.az. As of November 1, 2024, the number of payment cards in Azerbaijan reached 19.162 million.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that the number of payment cards grew by 238,000 over the past month. In annual comparison, this figure increased by 18.2%.

The number of salary cards grew by 20.5%, and the number of credit cards by 3.5%.

The growth in the number of payment cards has had positive impact on non-cash payments. The volume of non-cash payments made in the country during the month grew 1.5-fold year-on-year. In October 2024, non-cash payments in the amount of 7.506 million manats were made using the cards. Of the total volume of non-cash payments, 6.359 million manats accounted for e-commerce. Of the remaining volume, non-cash payments in the amount of 1.139 million manats were made through POS-terminals, and in the amount of 7.2 million manats through self–service terminals.
