November 26, Fineko/abc.az. The Russian economy has faced with catastrophic shortage of labor, which has become a serious constraint. At the moment, the problem can only be solved by attracting migrants, ABC.AZ reports, quoting VTB (Russia) head Andrey Kostin.

"Without migrants, our economy will not breathe today. We need to solve this matter anyway. Of course, it's easy to kick them out, but someone needs to work. We don’t have surplus of labor force today. If there is no one to work for us, then what difference does it make what the rate is? Who will do all this? Who will expand production? Who will develop it? There is no one to just work. Therefore, these issues are no less important than the bid," Kostin said.

He added that at many enterprises, especially in the defense sector, there is now shortage of personnel at the level of 10-20%, and production is operating around the clock.
