November 15, Fineko/abc.az. Lebanon's currency has reached its lowest level in history against the US dollar. Thus, depreciation of the lira caused a serious recession in the country's economy.
ABC.AZ reports that the crisis that has arisen forces even small merchants to use banknote counters. The owners of stores selling electronic goods say they most often sell banknote counters to speed up work and avoid miscalculations. Even the sellers of greenery in the local market have started using these devices.
Noting that they do not have time to calculate the money they receive from customers, the kebab seller stressed that the economic crisis, which has been going on since 2019, is getting worse. The increase in money circulation and the volume of cash has led to the inevitability of banknote counters and safes in the daily life of merchants.
At that, in connection with power outage in the country, interest in solar-powered batteries has increased. Advertisements for these batteries first appeared on signs in major cities, and now they have been replaced by money counters.
