October 24, Fineko/abc.az. The number of payment cards in circulation through the systems of banks and Azerpocht LLC increased by 356,000 cards at the end of September compared with last month and reached 18,923 cards.

Compared with the same period of 2023, this figure grew by 18.7%, ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Central Bank.

The growth of payment cards was 20.6% on debit cards and 6.3% on credit cards.

The growth of payment cards has had positive impact on non-cash payments. Thus, during the month, the non-cash transactions within the country increased 1.6-fold versus the relevant period of 2023.

In September 2024, the non-cash payments within the country made using cards amounted to 7.154 million manats.
