October 23, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) plans to regulate online lending in the country.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Khayyam Ismayilov, the head of the CBA Department of Supervision of Activities of Credit Institutions, as saying this at Baku conference "Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Microfinance".

"In this regard, international experience is being studied, and, taking into account priorities, general conditions for remote lending will be determined. The main purpose of this is to protect the rights of consumers and prevent their excessive debt," he said.
