October 21, Fineko/abc.az. The staff of the European Central Bank demanded to legally limit the price of bitcoin. An increase in its price leads to "impoverishment of those who do not own it", and this increases the threat of a split in society.

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated by ECB representatives - ECB Director Ulrich Bindsail and Advisor Jurgen Schaaf.

In their article, ECB experts urge those who have not invested in bitcoin to oppose cryptocurrency and demand the adoption of laws that would lead to the complete disappearance of bitcoin. Even with growth of the bitcoin exchange rate, according to them, only its early users will benefit — at the expense of those who came to the asset later or do not own it. Even if the "latecomers" cannot explain the loss of their purchasing power by the spread of bitcoin, "they will feel unwell and disappointed, which will further exacerbate the split in society," the report says.
