October 21, Fineko/abc.az. Mobile operators will be able to provide information about their customers' credit histories to credit bureaus without their consent.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Law on Credit Bureaus, included in the agenda of the meeting of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), which will be held on October 22.

It was noted that this would increase the possibility of assessing the performance discipline on debt obligations of persons applying for a loan from credit institutions.

Currently, a similar rule applies to utilities.

According to the draft, notifications of negative information provided to the credit bureau (any information negatively characterizing the solvency of the credit history subject from the moment of the occurrence of its debt obligation and the discipline of the debt obligation) will be transmitted by the credit bureau to the credit history subject.

The bill will expand the coverage of information collected in credit bureaus and expand the ability to assess the solvency of credit history subjects and debt performance discipline based on broader information.
