October 16, Fineko/abc.az. Gold production in Azerbaijan in the 3rd quarter of 2024 reached 1,752.1 kg or about 61,803.51 troy ounces.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the indicator is 1.2% more than a year ago.

British gold mining company Anglo Asian Mining plc announced that it produced 7,660 ounces of gold in the first 9 months of 2024 (2.45-fold less than for Q3 of 2023. During the same period in 2023, it produced 18,779 ounces of gold.

Currently, the price of an ounce of gold on the world market is $2,691.45 (according to the official exchange rate of the Central Bank about 4,533.34 manats).

Gold has risen in price by 29.7% in 2024, by 39.11% during the year and by 51.37% over the past 3 years.

If we take current prices, the cost of gold mining this year exceeds $160 million.
